FPGA – Digital Design Entry Level Engineer (Rochester NY or Portland OR)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Integre Technologies, an engineering services company specializing in FPGA & ASIC design and verification, is seeking an Entry Level Digital Design Engineer with some experience with FPGA development. Experience with board level design / layout is a plus. We are seeking a highly productive person able to contribute as an individual and work within a distributed team. Must have some experience in Altera, Xilinx and/or other FPGAs and their respective development tools and development environments.
Should have an understanding of digital design methodologies including synthesis, verification, implementation and timing analysis. Experience with new FPGA design starting from specifications or conversion of existing designs is a plus.
Must have very good communication skills, verbal and written. Responsibilities will include working closely with a variety of clients, in both the commercial and defense sectors, providing FPGA architecture, design and verification services.
REQUIREMENTS
- All candidates must be a US Person (US Citizen or Active Green Card Holder)
- BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering ( Masters preferred)
- 0-5 years of experience with FPGA design and /or verification
- Experience with the SoC development tools and design flow a plus
- Experience with RTL languages including Verilog and VHDL
- System Verilog experience a plus
- Understanding of the FPGA verification process including development of verification test plans and test benches, digital simulation and scripting
- Ability to develop tests from a high level test description
- Exposure to the board level design process including schematic capture and layout a plus
- Exposure to or experience with the ASIC design and verification a plus
- Excellent communication skills required, will be involved in the development of technical proposals and project status reports
- Able and willing to work with a diverse set of clients
- Willingness to travel up to 25%

JOB DESCRIPTION
Integre Technologies, a growing engineering services and product company, has an immediate need for a Digital Design Engineer with FPGA/ System on Chip (SoC) expertise to join our team. We are seeking a highly productive person able to both contribute as an individual and work within a distributed team. Must have experience with Altera, Xilinx or Microsemi/Actel and their respective development tools and development environments. Experience with new FPGA design starting from specifications, conversion of existing designs, and understanding of digital design methodologies including synthesis, verification, implementation and timing analysis. Applicants must be able to participate in the development of verification test benches and infrastructure, create test plans, code and execute tests. Responsibilities will include working closely with a variety of technology leading companies in both the commercial and defense sectors, providing FPGA architecture, design and verification services.
REQUIREMENTS
- All candidates must be a US Person (US Citizen or Active Green Card Holder)
- BSEE or MSEE (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience with FPGA design and /or verification including some SoC experience
- Experience with Altera, Xilinx or Microsemi/Actel devices
- Experience with RTL languages including Verilog and VHDL
- Participate in all phases of FPGA design Flow; Synthesis, Place & Route, and Timing Closure
- Experience with development of verification test plans and test benches, digital simulation and scripting
- SystemVerilog experience a plus
- Ability to develop tests from a high level test description
- Experience with development of custom gateware and accompanying linux drivers
- Experience with integration of third party and custom IP
- Experience with customization of Uboot and preloader
- Able to solve complex problems including state machines, clock domain crossings and power optimization
- Able to work in a dynamic environment that includes working with a variety of clients, changing needs and requirements
- Board level design, schematic capture and layout experience a plus
- Experience with development of technical proposals a plus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a diverse set of clients
- Some travel required
